Michael Emanuel has lived in Ventura County for over 30 years and has spent more than 15 of those years as a full-time REALTOR®, consistently ranking among the top-producing agents in the region. Before entering residential real estate, Michael built a successful career as a professional working film actor, appearing in countless feature films, television shows, and hundreds of national commercials. With an immediately recognizable face, he’s often “that guy” people swear they know — and they’re usually right. He is also a produced writer, director, and producer with multiple feature films to his credit, having negotiated multi-million-dollar financing and distribution deals. That experience makes him as comfortable in a corporate boardroom as he is at a kitchen table, navigating high-stakes decisions with clarity and confidence.
In addition to his brokerage work, Michael has overseen the acquisition, renovation, and sale of more than 60 residential properties as an owner-builder, never losing money on a completed project. While not a general contractor, he brings extensive hands-on experience managing scopes of work, budgets, timelines, and risk — a background that deeply informs his pricing strategy, negotiation approach, and ability to see issues before they surface in a transaction.
From time to time, Michael is also consulted by experienced colleagues on the evaluation of distressed, inherited, or off-market properties, offering conservative, deal-specific insight around feasibility, risk, and potential outcomes. This advisory work is limited, relationship-driven, and complementary to his primary focus: representing buyers and sellers in the residential marketplace with clarity, confidence, and strong advocacy.
